These are the things we value in application of our faith...

The Love and Life of Jesus (Romans 8:38-39, John 15:13, Romans 13:10)
Jesus is the turning point of history; the focus and main point of the bible; the Lover and Savior of our souls; and the Eternal Son of God who is God. Without His death, burial, and resurrection we would be hopeless. He will remain the point of our teaching, and the spread of His name the foremost goal of our existence.

The Word of God (John 7:38, 2 Timothy 3:16, Proverbs 30:5, Luke 11:28, 1 Corinthians 4:6, 2 Corinthians 2:17, 2 Corinthians 4:2, Ephesians 6:17, Hebrew 4:12) The Word, the Bible, is our source of understanding and inspiration. Interpreted within itself, with the personality of Christ as its filter, the Bible is without error. It is the framework of our lives and the family history of the children of God.

The Character of People (Leviticus 19:18, 2 Timothy 1:7, 2 Peter 1:5-7, 1 Corinthians 9:22-23) People are what it’s about. Whether in families, God’s building blocks for society, or single, God loves people. We will endeavor to be a church for people, warts and all, like Christ intended. We will do our best to embrace the culture and language of the people of Austin , Texas to better become “all things to all” people.

The Freedom of the Disciple Life (Galatians 5:1) We believe that the freedom of Christ is a long overlooked and misunderstood doctrine of the Christian faith. We believe that the teaching of responsible freedom in Jesus Christ is the key to advancing the Good News into the next era of the church.

The Beauty of Creativity (Exodus 31:1-11, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Ephesians 2:10) As God is creator and we are His image, we will strive to create rather than copy and to encourage the people God sends our way to do the same. We believe God created beauty and is the standard by which all art should be judged. We believe that people are God’s artwork and should be encouraged to express that which is within them.

The Intimacy of Small Groups (Acts 2:46-47, Leviticus 26:12, Ecclesiastes 4:12, Matthew 18:20) We believe that discipleship and fellowship best develop within a small group setting. Real spiritual growth requires accountability and encouragement and small group discipleship offers the best opportunity for that.

The Disciplines of Faith (Matthew 6:16, 9:14-15, Psalm 5:1-3, Daniel 6:10, Proverbs 1:7) “Teach a man to fish….” We believe in the practice and teaching of the spiritual disciplines to promote individual and corporate spiritual growth.

The Significance of the Environment (Genesis 2:15, Genesis 1:12, Romans 8:19-22) We believe that humans are charged by God to manage and care for the Earth. We believe that the planet groans for redemption and that we need to work towards that end until Christ returns with healing.
